The work generally consists of the following: The removal, disposal, and replacement of all aerators, distributors and associated piping, valves and flow meters of four (4) aeration basins, cleaning, repair, and coating of piping, structures and surfaces as indicated in the drawings and specifications for the current aeration basins. This includes mechanical, concrete and masonry work, painting, piping, etc. The project is located at The City of Dunedin Wastewater Treatment Plant (1140 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Dunedin, Florida 34698). The time allotted for this project is 270 days, for substantial completion and 30 additional days for final completion. All contractor Requests For Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Russell Ferlita, Ph.D., P.E., Section Engineer, at rferlita@dunedinfl.net, prior to 2:00 p.m., local time. The City will not respond to RFIs submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely manner. All work performed shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents. Proposals must be marked with the bidders name and address and be accepted by the Purchasing Office. No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days without the consent of the City. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the Invitation may be disqualified.
