The work generally consists of the following: The work of this Contract consists of furnishing all material, labor, equipment, etc., necessary for the general rehabilitation of 8" gravity sanitary sewer lines by the use of Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) liner as described in section 02736 CURED IN PLACE PIPELINING. The time allotted for this project is 180 days, for substantial completion. All contractor Requests For Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at cankney@dunedinfl.net, prior to 2:00 p.m., local time. The City will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely manner. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, as guarantee that the BIDDER will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids and, if written notice is given of such award, enter into a written Contract with the City of Dunedin, Florida, in accordance with the written Proposal. Should the successful BIDDER fail to enter into a Contract, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for a Certificate of Insurance, a Performance and Payment Bond, and meet other requirements, as set forth in the contract The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest.
