UCLA Health PDC Project no. 18M2012 **As of 4/14/2020 Project completion date will be will be 1 year and half or 18 months . Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work: This Project shall renovate approximately 5,814 GSF on the first floor of the 200 Medical Plaza Building (MP200) to improve Suite 135 for continued use by the Department of Pharmacy. The Project shall reconfigure the existing suite - accommodating a retail pharmacy and a clinic and research pharmacy - to provide a pharmaceutical services facility compliant with new regulations for handling and compounding hazardous drugs. The renovated clinic and research pharmacy shall provide hazardous and non-hazardous intravenous (IV) sterile compounding rooms, an ante room, and IV workstation area; controlled storage rooms for narcotics and hazardous drugs; pharmacist workstations; research workstations, and a shipping and receiving area. The renovated retail pharmacy shall include customer encountering stations, a picking and dispensing area, a shot room, and administrative offices. The suite shall be served by a dedicated exhaust system and an air handling unit installed on the second floor patio. The scope of work shall include: demolition of improvements in the way of work; construction of demising walls and room partitions; provision of ceilings, lighting, high-density shelving, fixtures, and finishes; modifications to building systems to accommodate the program; provision of power, conduit, and cabling; provision of an air distribution system and controls; systems testing and balancing; and repairs to building finishes impacted by the Work. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: B License (General Building To be allowed to submit a bid, Bidders must have the minimum experience set forth in the Prequalification Questionnaire contained in the Bidding Documents and posted on the UCLA portal. Bidder's completed Prequalification Questionnaire must be received at the University Contracts Administration office in a sealed envelope, or uploaded to the UCLA portal, no later than: 3:00 p.m., July 25, 2019 Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $13 per hour as of 10/1/15, $14 per hour as of 10/1/16, and $15 per hour as of 10/1/17) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
