The project consists of 'on-call services' for a twelve-month period for the removal of existing concrete sidewalks and curbs and reconstructing concrete sidewalks and curbs, reinforced concrete sidewalks and reinforced concrete driveway aprons at various sidewalk locations. Within twenty (20) calendar days from the delivery of a notice to proceed, Contractor shall start the initial repair assignment (initial milestone) as listed in Appendix 'A'. Contractor shall commence performance of the work and, subject to authorized adjustments, achieve substantial completion of the initial milestone within (30) calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner. Further, the Owner reserves the right to abandon the NTB - 2 project and reject the bids entirely if any legal or state or federal administrative action is taken against the Owner which could delay or jeopardize the project from commencing. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawnto the order of City of Union City for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00.
