Phillipsburg School District, Phillipsburg, NewJersey, will receive bids at the Board of Education Office, 50 Sargent Ave,Phillipsburg, New Jersey, on the date of Friday, August 2019 at the hour of 9:30 A.M., prevailing time, and then and there will receive and open sealed bids. All Terms of bid and Surety required are fixed by the specifications. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, drawn to the order of the Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid. A 100% performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. (18A:18A-24). Bidders must be pre-qualified to bid on work specified by the New Jersey State Board of Education (Title 18A:18A-27). Bidders must also comply with the provisions of the Public Disclosure Law, N.J.P.L. 1977 c.33. Bidders are required to comply with requirements N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment will be in the best interest of the School District. The Board also reserves the right to waive any defects or informalities in any bid, should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the District to do so. The Board will not assume responsibility for bids not delivered in person to the Board of Education at the time called for bid opening. BUSINESS REGISTRATION NJ Public Law 2004, c. 57, requires all businesses to provided proof of registration with the NJ Department of Treasury to conduct business with any school districts. The Method of Contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
