Site work and new construction of a museum in Staunton, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 33,512-square-foot museum; and for site work for a museum.

CM@Risk Services for Construction of Crossing Gallery for Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia **Only companies shortlisted under RFQ #007-2020, Pre-Qualification for CM@Risk for FCMV Crossing Gallery, are invited to submit a proposal in response to this solicitation** All questions shall be submitted in writing on the supplied pre-proposal question form by e-mail to procurement@dgs.virginia.gov, no later than 5pm January 5, 2021. All questions and answers will be provided in writing in an addendum to the solicitation on VBO. Any answers that are not provided in writing shall not be considered as part of the RFP or relied on in submitting a proposal. The Frontier Culture Museum's exists to provide an environment that illustrates the early life and contributions made by the pioneers from Europe and West Africa as they migrated and settled in America on the western Frontier. The facility proposed for this project will serve to document and vividly portray the experience of many of those pioneers, both during their transatlantic voyage to America, and on the American Frontier. It will also provide guest services to allow visitors to better access the museum's many exhibits and amenities by offering orientation, ticketing, shopping and food services, as well as administrative office space. It will serve to offer both temporary and permanent exhibit space, with outdoor reflection and gathering space protected from the weather. Additionally, several existing buildings will be demolished to better consolidate the campus programmatically. The project will include extensive site improvements to better the visitor entrance experience, provide additional parking, enhanced landscaping, site walls, site lighting, circulation, and interpretive content improvement. All work will be done during the course of normal museum operating hours, while maintaining a safe a meaningful visitor experience during construction.
