The project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to perform the bituminous resurfacing between MP 2.22 and MP 9.29. Also included is roadway reprofiling, construction of roadway drainage facilities, construction of guide rail, placement of erosion and sediment pollution controls, maintenance and protection of traffic during construction and pavement markings. Milepost 2.22 is located approximately 2.22 miles east of the Ohio and Pennsylvania border,and Milepost 9.29 is located at the New Castle Interchange, Exit 10, in Lawrence and Beaver Counties, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) Any questions for this project must be submitted electronically in EBS by registered business partners. A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project.
