Expansion and major renovation of the owner's facilities located on the De La Montagne Campus in Montreal. The scope of the project includes expansion, renovations and reconfiguration of the Joseph-Armand-Bombardier pavilion (JAB) on five floors and basement to bring together student activities, construction of a link between the JAB pavilion and the Principal pavilion, major renovations of the Principal pavilion of the building. The project will be LEED certified. Notes: - The Joseph-Armand-Bombardier building was previously acquired by the project owner from Montréal University. - According to the released information the total financial package of the construction program including this expansion and renovation project will be as high as $356.2M and will include a government contribution of $268.8 million, a contribution of $86.5 million from Polytechnique and $0.9 million from the Canada Foundation for Innovation. TIMELINE: Project design is ongoing. The professional consulting team is preparing the plans and specifications by construction packages. Plans of the first construction package have been already completed and the owner has issued a tender for the contractor for construction of this package that is now followed in the report under CRM ID name Acquisition, Expansion and Redevelopment - Phase 1: Expansion of the J.-Armand-bombardier Pavilion and Renovation of the Main Pavilion.
