International Airport is experiencing major growth in the air cargo market which is further enabled by the proximity of logistics centers and warehouses immediately off Airport property. As a result, there has been an increase in freight vehicle traffic on airport roadways. This is a project to facilitate intermodal freight transfer, reduce I-5 congestion, and support future economic development in the project area. As of June 2, 2025, construction has been completed. General contractor information has not been determined. This project is included in the Saramento County's FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
