Renovation of a water / sewer project in Tallahassee, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The project includes renovations to the Water Well #18 Building including demolition, cleaning, construction, testing, and placing into operation of the structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural components in accordance with the Contract Documents. Water Well 18 is an operational water production well that must remain available for service during building renovation. If the well needs to be taken out of service for any construction activities, the Contractor shall coordinate with the City and provide at least three days advance notification. Access to the site is restricted and the site must remain secure. Q & A deadline: Jul 21, 2021 5:00:00 PM EDT THE WORK CONSISTS OF WORK IN WELL HOUSE #18 LOCATED IN TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA (SEE VICINITY PLANS INCLUDED WITH DRAWINGS FOR SPECIFIC LOCATIONS). CONTRACTOR SHALL PRICE THE WORK AS INDICATED BELOW. a. Clean building exterior and clean building interior. b. Provide temporary floor mounted supports for all existing cable trays and conduit as required before starting roof demolition. c. Protect existing motor, electrical panels and equipment from damage (moisture, etc.) during construction as required. d. Remove existing shingles roofing, overhang, fasciae, exhaust vents fans and hoods. e. Remove existing wood structural trusses, beams and roof decking. f. Construct new roof profile with new light gauge metal framing members and cover with new standing seam metal roof as specified. g. Provide gutters and downspouts to drain on new concrete splash blocks secured to grade, as specified. h. Install new Bilco roof hatch directly above existing pump motor. i. Remove all screens and louvers and replace matching the size, material, function and color of existing as specified. j. Replace/repair corroded steel lintel headers at doors and windows as required. k. Install new exhaust fan where indicated, as specified. l. Remove (scrape and/or peel) existing paint from all interior walls m. Install new cementitious "Hardie" board ceiling and seal all joints as required to permanently isolate attic space from Pump and Chlorine Rooms. n. Repair all exterior masonry cracks and holes. Patch as required where existing brick is missing. Re-point interior and exterior brick masonry where damaged and as needed at existing penetration points; grout all cracks where indicated in the drawings and if not, where needed. Replace and/or repair damaged brick units where required o. Pressure wash and seal exterior brickwork and exterior exposed concrete surfaces with water repellents. p. Pressure wash and seal exterior walks and/or concrete paving. q. Paint existing hydrofluorosilicic enclosure, existing fence on both sides, and exterior sides of both doors and door frames. r. Paint interior walls, ceilings, floors and interior side of doors and door frames in both the Pump and Chlorine Rooms. s. Grout and/or seal all exterior openings as specified.
