The project consist of the removing an existing grass field, providing a submersed drainage system below a new synthetic turf competitive collegiate soccer field that will have lighting for night games. The work will be shall be assigned to two prime contractors: General Construction and Electrical. The area of work is located adjacent to the main road that loops through campus. The scope includes sidewalks connecting adjacent parking and buildings, circulation around the field, lighting, underground drainage system, sporting/athletic equipment, fencing, and landscaping. The schedule is to start construction as early as possible to be completed before August 2020. Potential bidders are to call 708-235-7443 to register and receive directions. We encourage you to arrive at the GSU Procurement Office 15 minutes prior to the meeting. Only those bidders present for the mandatory meeting will be considered for award. Suppliers and subcontractors are welcome to attend, but not required to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Capital Development Board (CDB) or Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) prequalification is required for this project as stated in the standard document for construction. BEP aspirational goal: There is a minimum of a 20% aspirational goal for this bid, as detailed in the attachments. To achieve the 20% goal, bidders may include contractors, subcontractors or suppliers that are certified by the State of Illinois' Business Enterprise Program (BEP) as owned by minorities, female, veteran or disabled individuals. The Project Manual consists of multiple documents: front end B20206TMS, technical specifications and drawings. Each is downloadable attached to this bid invitation. All amendments which are posted to this bid notice are hereby incorporated into the project manual and requirements of the specification. All responses must include: Submit 4 copies of the response as defined in the specifications.

The contract(s) for this solicitation could exceed $50,000 annually. This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971. Final questions and answers submitted will be posted by end of day today, October 22, 2019.
