Whitaker (MBW) Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Filters 11-16 Installation The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: o A new, multi-level filtration building measuring approximately 156 feet x 111 feet, containing six new Leopold type XA underdrain filters equipped with an air scour system and filter-to-waste drains; o Three intermediate pumps; o Two blowers; o Power distribution system, lighting, grounding, HVAC, plumbing,automation; o Site/civil including new parking, yard piping, tie-ins to existing piping, modifications to existing clarifiers, grading, site demolition, site restoration and landscaping, contractor staging areas, paving, bike rack, and sidewalks; o Security/CCTV, communications and site lighting for the zone around the new parking areas and new facilities; o Chemical pumps and piping from existing feed locations for caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, zinc orthophosphate, and fluoride; o New 465,000 gallon, in-ground, pre-stressed concrete wash water equalization tank; o New 400,000 gallon welded-steel, elevated, wash water supply tank; and appurtenances in their entirety o Miscellaneous site improvements o Testing, start-up, training, and other project commissioning activities
