Site work for a water / sewer project in Fairfield, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of constructing and replacing the parallel 15-inch and 12-inch east interceptor sewers in Fairfield, Iowa. The replacement begins south of the intersection of Fillmore Avenue, Park Street, and Mint Boulevard (also referred to as Lamson Woods) and extends to the Maharishi University of Management. In general, the parallel sewers shall be replaced with one conveyance sewer which is primarily 36-inch, 30-inch, and 24-inch diameter. A section of primarily 12-inch diameter sewer shall also be replaced with 18-inch diameter sewer through Forest Park. In addition to the new sewer, approximately 2,655 feet of existing 12-inch and 876 feet of existing 8-inch sewer shall be lined. The proposed project includes approximately 16,599 feet of new sanitary sewer installed by open cut, 4,123 feet of new sanitary sewer installed by boring, 78 manholes, and 3,531 feet of sewer lining. The project also includes miscellaneous appurtenant work usually associated with a sewer improvement project. The project shall be fully completed within 560 calendar days
