Demolition, site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Fairfield, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

1 bid received, rejected by county, project will not move forward General construction, as described in the drawing set on sheets C-101 through A402, S-001, S-002, S-101, S-102 and specification divisions 01, 02, 06 through 10. Work includes selective interior demolition and building demolition. Work includes openings, flooring, toilet and bath accessories, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, siding and soffit panels, asphalt roofing, thermal and moisture protection, drywall, painting, gutters and downspouts, ACT patching and repair, and final cleaning. Concrete work, as described in the drawing set on sheet S-001, S-002, S-100, S500, S-501 and specification divisions 01, 02, and 03. Work includes saw cut and removal of existing concrete, excavation of footing and removal of spoils, subgrade preparation and granular fill, foundation insulation, foundations, and exterior paving. Electrical and communication work as described in the drawing set on sheets E01, E02, and E03. Miscellaneous work to support renovation and addition, including new power and data throughout the building. Plumbing work as described in the drawing set on sheet P01. Work includes removal and reinstallation of concrete for underfloor plumbing and removal and reinstallation of fixtures and installation of new showers. Mechanical work as described in the drawing set on sheet M01. Installation of split HVAC system in garage addition Contract Type: Multiple Prime Contract Bid Security shall be made payable to Jefferson County Iowa, in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the Base Bid sum. Security shall be CERTIFIED CHECK, BANK CASHIERS CHECK or AIA A310 BID BOND issued by the Surety licensed to conduct business in the state in which the Project is being constructed. The date for Award of Contracts for construction is anticipated on July 5th, 2023 with the Notice to Proceed being issued no later than 2 weeks following award of contract. The contractor will have full access to the site for the duration of the project. Substantial completion is set for October 1st, 2023 The Owner reserves the right to approve the sufficiency of the required bid security.
