Renovation of a library in Ogdensburg, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a library.
As of 01/15/2020, all bids were rejected because over budget. Project will rebid in spring. Experienced Contractors are invited to submit a bid on the above project which will consist of one (1) prime contract for General Construction work described in general summary as follows: General Renovation work includes selective demolition of small roof system of an outdoor enclosed exit stairway which has tested positive for asbestos. A new EPDM roof system together with metal copings and EPDM flashings to the adjacent main building is proposed for installation on this enclosed exit stairway. As part of the proposed new roof system there are proposed changes to the metal leaders at this location which formerly dumped rain water onto the roof. Additionally, masonry repairs are required of this enclosure inclusive of replacement of selected cmu units which are damaged; and then the prepping and repainting of the exterior and interior of this cmu enclosure; 1 new aluminum door replacement and the reuse and reinstallation of door hardware on this alum door at the first floor of the main library. The proposed work to be carried out in the Spring of 2020, however a preapproved temporary roof protection should be in place for the winter. All bidders questions should be in writing and submitted to the Architect. Only the Architect is empowered to answer questions on the project.
