Site work for a water / sewer project in Lloydminster, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Project involves Drainage Improvement along 75 Avenue - 29 Street to 44 Street. As part of the design, the City will also be looking at including a 3.0-meter-wide asphalt concrete pavement walking trail along 75 Avenue to promote access and pedestrian linkage. The Work generally comprises: of the clearing, grubbing, and stripping of native topsoil followed by the loading, hauling, and placing owner supplied clay fill to the design subgrade elevations in order to promote positive drainage along the east side of 75 Avenue between 29 Street and south of 41 Street. Upon completion of the site rough grading and storm sewer extensions the contractor will be required to supply and place topsoil, seed, and rock rip-rap. The intent with the program will be to improve the drainage of the 75 Avenue ditch while accounting for all shallow utilities, in particular ATCO Gas pipelines and Husky Energy Inc. pipelines. TIMELINE: Tender from General contractors issued in late 2019 was subsequently cancelled by the owner. The project has been put on hold indefinitely until feasible working requirements can be reached with pipeline facility owners (Husky Energy) within the area. Project may be republished in the future, once it's been funded and approved to bid for construction. Coverage of this report is discontinued at this time. *Budget is unreleased.
