Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Egremont, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Work at this site includes the removal and disposal of the existing 8.5 – 8.5 – 8.5 m long type ‘HC’ precast concrete girder bridge on a treated timber substructure and the construction of a new concrete girder bridge. The new structure will be a 6.0 – 14.0 – 6.0 m Type ‘SL-510’ pre-stressed concrete girder span on a steel H-pile substructure. The crossing is located on a local road over Redwater River, 17 km northwest of Egremont. Without limiting the provisions of these Specifications and Contract, the Scope of Work at this site shall include the following: Traffic accommodation Demolition and disposal of existing bridge structure Headslope preparation and backfill Supply, set-up and drive steel H-piling Abutment, pier and wingwall construction Erection of pre-stressed concrete bridge girders Supply and installation of miscellaneous iron Roadway work Supply and install bridgerail Supply and install approach guardrail Supply and install heavy rock riprap (Class 1) Supply and install erosion control barrier (straw rolls, silt fence) Supply and install erosion control matting (Type C) Documents can be obtained from https://mpaeng.bidsandtenders.ca
