Work at this site includes the removal and disposal of the existing 8.5 – 8.5 – 8.5 m long type ‘HC’ precast concrete girder bridge on a treated timber substructure and the construction of a new concrete girder bridge. The new structure will be a 6.0 – 14.0 – 6.0 m Type ‘SL-510’ pre-stressed concrete girder span on a steel H-pile substructure. The crossing is located on a local road over Redwater River, 17 km northwest of Egremont.
