Work of the contract is for the Interior and Exterior Recoating of the Newport MUD Surface Water Treatment Plant Elevated Storage Tank located at 16703 Golf Club Drive, Crosby, Texas 77532. See Key Map No. 379W. The elevated storage tank is a 600,000-gallon composite elevated water tank with an approximate height of 166 feet, a bowl diameter of 55 feet, and a stem diameter of 10 feet. In general, this work consists of: Surface preparation and coating of interior surfaces of 600,000-gallon composite elevated storage tank including the interior and exterior of roof access tube. Surface preparation and coating of exterior surfaces of 600,000-gallon composite elevated storage tank. Welding of 6-inch diameter steel patches over areas that are damaged due to blasting, as directed by the Engineer. Miscellaneous items for the 600,000-gallon elevated storage tank, including surface preparation and coating of existing butterfly and altitude valves, and electrical panels; replacing elevated storage tank light fixture; replacing of aircraft warning light fixture with an LED light fixture; replacing of roof vent screens. Disinfection, site restoration and site cleanup. Cellular providers will temporarily remove their facilities during construction.
