Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 351,100-square-foot, seven-story above grade, 280-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.
Intent of this Bid call is to obtain an offer to perform Work to complete the new construction of GSS West Village - 280 Resident Continuing Care Home Type A located at 595 -Lewis Greens Drive NW in Edmonton, Alberta, for Stipulated Price contract, in accordance with Contract Documents. Plans call for a new state of the art Campus of Care to be located at the Stewart Greens area in west Edmonton to provide a range of health and community services to meet the needs of Alberta's capital region. This project is designed as a collection of 20 independent households; each household will house 14 residents in private rooms, promoting a GSS "Being and Belonging" personalized living environment. The facility will also provide a space to facilitate the delivery of the Comprehensive Home Options of Integrated Care for the Elderly (CHOICE) program. In addition, the development will include the administrative offices for the Good Samaritan Society. Scope of work includes a 7-storey, 32,510 m2 facility that will consist of 20 households, each containing 14 private, fully accessible rooms (32.5 m2 in size). *Total project cost is $128 million (includes design and construction). *Project has received $113M in provincial funding.
