Site work, paving and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Conway, South Carolina. Design plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.

As of August 29, 2023, a design team has been selected. Per owner, there is an RFQ currently being advertised for the engineering and design of this project in conjunction with another project. Horry County is requesting qualified, licensed Architectural firms to provide professional services necessary for developing a Master Plan for the Michael Morris Graham Park. Additionally, provide architectural & engineering services for designing a Recreation Center on that site for the community. This center may be replicated on additional sites as a part if this project if funding is available. The initial purpose of this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) is to solicit proposals from qualified and experienced consultants to perform a master plan and conceptual design (Phase I) for a recreation complex and center, to include baseball fields, multipurpose fields, playground(s), parking area(s), trails, center with gym and indoor fitness areas. Utilizing existing assets on grounds where possible. Horry County may elect to move forward with Phases II, III, and IV, contingent upon funding availability. The decision to move beyond Phase I activities with the awarded Consultant will be at the sole discretion of Horry County. More detailed scope of work for Phases II, III, and IV, may be negotiated at that time. Phase I: Create a master plan for the Michael Morris Graham site on Vereen Road. Plan should include baseball fields, multi-purpose fields, trails, parking, recreation center location, storm water facilities and playgrounds. Include conceptual design plan for the recreation center.
