As of March 2022, abatement has begun. The project will create a careers-oriented center at the existing college. Plans call for the renovation of Building 200 (B200) which is approximately 33,000 square feet and is a rectangular shaped building with high-bay industrial labs. Plans call for the construction of a new four-story, 91,335 square foot building. Plans call for the demolition of building CT 101 and construction of new underground utilities and associated site improvements. This project will unify the two structures to feel like a single complex. Early procurement trades (under contract): Plumbing and Mechanical, Electrical and Low Voltage, Fire Suppression, Glazing and Metal Panels, Elevators, Demolition, Structural Steel Scopes of work remaining to bid: Field Engineering (Surveying), Earthwork and Paving, Fencing, Landscaping, Site Utilities, Site Concrete, Building Concrete, Metal Decking, Millwork, FRP, Waterproofing & Joint Sealants, Insulation, Roofing, Architectural Sheetmetal, Fireproofing, Doors and Hardware (FOB), Overhead Doors, Modular Wall Panels, Gypsum Board, Tile, Acoustical Ceilings and Panels, Soft Flooring, Painting and Wallcovering, Visual Display, Toilet Specialties, Unistrut, Smoke Curtains, Signage, Window Treatments, Final Cleaning Addendum #1-#3 have been issued. The bid documents will include (4) separate drawing packages in varying phases of design development. All of these bid packages are closely related and therefore are included within this bid proposal process. These projects include construction of the new 91,000 SF 4-story building (50% Design Development), modernization of an existing building B200 (100% Construction Documents), demolition of building CT 101(100% Construction Documents), and Utility Infrastructure (100% Construction Documents).
