Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Duncan, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for paving for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for site work for a water / sewer project; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Cairnsmore, College and Government Streets in order to improve safety for all transportation modes, reduce emissions and improve traffic throughout. Existing traffic signals will be replaced with the roundabout. Other works will include appropriate upgrading and replacement of associated road sections, pedestrian facilities, street lighting, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, watermains, landscaping, irrigation, and other utilities and associated services. TIMELINE: Request for proposals to qualified engineering consultants for the provision of design and tendering services is cancelled. Grant application from the City of Duncan was denied. City will now discuss funding the project during the upcoming budget deliberations. Further update in early 2026, upon approvals. *Project is expected to cost a total of $1.4 million.
