In our FY15-16 request, we revised our estimated growth. It is anticipated that over the next three (3) years our Marion County location could increase by fifteen (15) employees. Our current location is unable to absorb this growth, requiring an increase of space. One option to accommodate our anticipated growth would be to add an additional 10,000 square feet to our current Public Defender building located at 204 NW 3rd Avenue in Ocala, FL. The current Public Defender building is 13,000 square feet, with the requested addition bringing it to 23,000 square feet. This project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
