SCOPE OF WORK The work performed under this contract consists of, but is not limited to: the CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) lining of approximately 3,900 linear feet of existing underground sanitary sewer main and reconnection of existing laterals with "Top Hat" CIPP lateral seals, and all appurtenant work necessary to complete the project as stated in the bid specifications. Note: Contractor must make own determination of lengths prior to bidding and construction. The locations of the work are within the City limits of the City of Sparks, Washoe County, Nevada, and are more specifically designated below: 1.1 Location 1 a. Stanford Way - Beginning at Victorian Avenue and extending northerly to Prater Way for a distance of approximately 2,400 feet. The segment of main includes approximately 1,725 linear feet of 15-inch and 715 linear feet of 10-inch sewer main. 1.2 Location 2 a. Canoga Court - The segment of main includes approximately 340 linear feet of 8- inch sewer main. b. Lorena Street - The segment of main includes approximately 260 linear feet of 8- inch sewer main. c. Verano Drive - The segment of main includes approximately 550 linear feet of 8- inch sewer main. d. Covina Drive- The segment of main includes approximately 285 linear feet of 8-inch sewer main. Bids postmarked prior to, but not received until after this deadline will not be accepted. Vendor bid response submittals may not be sent to the City of Sparks via the Internet/e-mail and will not be entertained for award by the City of Sparks. The right is reserved to reject any Bid/Proposal or to accept the Bid/Proposal which is deemed by the City of Sparks to be in the best interest of the City of Sparks. The City of Sparks reserves the right to waive any irregularities and/or informalities in the bid process Install Sewer Main CIPP lining, 8" diameter 1,435 LF, 10" diameter 715 LF and 15" diameter 1,725 LF. Perform sewer main spot repairs external (6 EA) and internal (2 EA). Perform lateral reinstatement (68 EA) and bypass pumping. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of bid amount is required. This bid bond will function as a penalty in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a written contract with the City in accordance with the bid documents. Additionally, the City will be entitled to actual damages, if any. Prospective bidders will be required to have a current Contractor License under the Nevada State Law for the type of work specified herein. The work to be performed under this Contract shall be commenced by the successful Bidder after all executed Contract documents have been submitted, and after being notified to proceed by the City of Sparks.
