Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; swimming pool; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
As of 12/15/2020, project scheduled to be awarded in January. Work will include site clearing, earthwork operations, concrete and asphalt paving, utilities, restroom building, splash pad, inclusive playground, challenge course, fitness stations, site furnishings, planting, and seeding. This work includes: site preparation, construction fencing, temporary soil erosion and sediment control measures, site removals and clearing, earthwork, excavation, and grading; storm & sanitary sewer utilities, water service utilities, cast-in-place concrete foundations and footings, stone masonry, restroom building, recirculating splash pad, inclusive playground, challenge course, fitness equipment, site furnishings, asphalt paving, concrete paving, ornamental fencing and gates, tree, shrub, native and turf seeding. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Village of Glendale Heights. The Village of Glendale Heights reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Village of Glendale Heights. The Village of Glendale Heights encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
