Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, milling and leveling of existing asphalt pavement, thermoplastic pavement marking, sidewalk replacement, ADA access ramps, and other items quantified in the proposal pages of this contract. Payment on this Contract will be made by Check.Licensing Requirements - Possession of a General Contractor's License issued by the State of Florida is required for working within public rights-of-way. Contractor must have proper licensing prior to submitting bid and must submit evidence of same with bid. There will not be a pre-bid meeting or site visit for this Invitation to Bid.However, it will be the sole responsibility of the bidder to inspect the City's location(s) and become familiar with the scope of the City's requirements and systems prior to submitting a proposal. No variation in price or conditions shall be permitted based upon a claim of ignorance. Submission of a proposal will be considered evidence that the proposer has familiarized himself with the nature and extent of the work, equipment, materials, and labor required. A certified check, cashier's check, bank officer's check or bid bond for Five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shall accompany each proposal. It is the bidder's sole responsibility to ensure that his bid bond or other bid security is received by the Procurement Services Division before time of bid opening. Failure to adhere to this requirement may be grounds to consider the bid as non-responsive.The City of Fort Lauderdale reserves the right to waive any informality in any or all bids and to reject any or all bids.
