Lansdowne Avenue Pedestrian Crossing furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the: LANSDOWNE AVENUE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING. The principal items of work to be performed under this project include: a mid-block pedestrian crossing on PA S.R. 2005, consisting of two (2) new ADA compliant curb ramps with curb bump-outs and trench drains, a signal pedestal and signal mastarm with push button activated rapid rectangular flashing beacons, traffic control signs and a stamped asphaltic crosswalk. Questions regarding the specifications shall be directed to the Borough Engineer The bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Owner. All bids must be accompanied by a Surety's Consent. Said surety to be licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor (Public Works Contractors' Bond Law of 1967,P.L. 869, 8 P.S. 191 et seq) & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to the Owner. The Bidder's attention is called to the fact that this project is assisted with federal funds, and various federal requirements apply as noted in the bid documents, including but not limited to equal opportunity provisions and Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. In addition, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act, applies to this project.
