Site work for a water / sewer project in San Bruno, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

For Avenues 1-3 Sewer and Water Replacement The work includes, but is not limited to: Construct approximately 7,200 feet of 12- and 8-inch diameter water main by open-cut construction. Remove and replace approximately 4,000 feet of 6, 8, 10, and 12-inch diameter sewer with 12- and 10-inch diameter sewer. Construct approximately 2,030 feet of HDPE sewer main by open cut Construct 8-inch diameter water in 18-inch casing by pilot tube guided boring. Construct 10-inch diameter sewer in 12-inch casing by pilot tube guided boring. Rehabilitate approximately 1,200 feet of 6-inch diameter sewer by cured in place pipe. Abandon approximately 12,200 feet of existing water mains. Remove or Abandon approximately 2,000 feet of existing sewer. Remove, remove and replace, and install sanitary sewer manholes Construct sewer laterals. Replace all fire hydrants and water services. Cathodic Protection. Sewer flow control. Full width pavement grind and overlay. Remove and replace curb and gutter. Replace accessible curb ramps. Pavement delineation. 4 and 6-inch hot mix asphalt base repair. Secure necessary permits per Section 01 41 00 Temporary traffic control per Section 01 51 00 Site cleaning, restoration, and removal of debris, equipment, and excess material from the sites upon completion of work Other work as shown on Drawings All work items shall be constructed in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. Bidding Documents contain the full description of the Work. Each Bidder shall be required to submit, in accordance with Document 00 21 00 (Instructions to Bidders) and Document 004513 (Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for Construction Work), a Statement of Qualifications All work under this contract shall be completed within 210 Working days from the Notice to Proceed effective date. The City shall assess liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000 per Working day for delays in completion of the project, as provided in the Contract Documents. A California Class "A" contractor's license is required to bid on this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Bidders shall refer to Document 00 21 00 (Instructions to Bidders) for required documents and items to be submitted in sealed envelopes for deposit at the Office of the City Clerk, 567 El Camino Real, San Bruno, California 94066, no later than the time and date set forth in Paragraph 1 above. Cash, cashier's check or certified check, payable to the order of the City of San Bruno, of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, or a bond in said amount payable to the City of San Bruno and signed by the Bidder and a corporate surety shall accompany the bid. Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing their bids. The City will permit the successful bidder to substitute securities for any retention monies withheld to ensure performance of the contract, as set forth in Document 00 61 16 (Escrow Agreement For Security Deposits In Lieu Of Retention) and fully incorporated herein, in accordance with Section 22300 of the California Public Contract Code. The successful bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the project, and related requirements contained in the contract documents. a. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. b. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. c. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders must base their bids on products and systems specified in the contract documents or listed by name in the addenda. Except as provided below, the City will consider substitution requests only for "or approved equal items." Bidders wanting to use "or approved equal items" may submit Document 00 43 25 (Substitution Request Form) no later than 7 days after the issuance of the Notice of Award. a. Exception- None The City specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects or minor irregularities in the bids not involving time, price or quality of the work.
