Renovation of an educational facility in San Bruno, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 53,698-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.

Project awarded to Wickman Development and Construction. The Work generally consists of interior demolition of walls, ceilings, slabs, stairs, elevator, roofing and utility infrastructure. The project installs seismic strengthening and rebuilds interior spaces including new walls, slabs, ceilings, utility infrastructure and elevator in addition to exterior improvements such as roofing, possible photovoltaics and adjacent and remote site improvements. This project is subject to the terms of the Program Stabilization Agreement (PLA) Executed between the District and the San Mateo County Buildings and Trades Council. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1771.5. CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION. Each Bidder submitting a bid, including all Bidders Subcontractors, must be a Department of Industrial Relations Public Works registered contractor pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. District will permit successful Bidder to substitute securities for retention monies withheld to ensure performance of Contract, as set forth in Document 00 43 45 (Escrow Agreement for Security Deposits in Lieu of Retention), in accordance with California Public Contract Code, Section 22300. As a limitation on Bidders privilege to substitute or equal items, District has found that certain items are designated as District standards and certain items are designated to match existing items in use on a particular public improvement either completed or in the course of completion or are available from one source. As to such items, District will not permit substitution. Such items are described in the Bidding Documents. Bidding documents contain the full description of the Work.
