The City of San Bruno (City) is located on the San Francisco Peninsula in San Mateo County, approximately 12 miles south of San Francisco and immediately adjacent to the San Francisco International Airport. The total land area of San Bruno is 5.8 square miles and the City has a residential population of approximately 42,957 as of July 1, 2016. San Bruno is a general law city incorporated in 1914 that operates under the councilmanager form of government. The City provides ongoing condition assessments of City streets and recommends streets to be selected for rehabilitation and reconstruction to cost effectively maximize pavement longevity. The City utilizes the Metropolitan Transportation Commissions StreetSaver program to serve as a database for tracking the condition of streets throughout the City and to recommend streets to be selected for pavement maintenance. The City is inviting qualified consultants to submit proposals to provide professional services for conducting pavement testing & analysis, to provide rehabilitation recommendations based on findings, develop and prepare a pavement design report, and to provide construction support Questions regarding the information contained in the RFP document must be submitted in writing, by email or by fax, and addressed to: City of San Bruno Public Works Department 567 El Camino Real San Bruno, CA 94066-4299 Attention: Calvin Iwan, Assistant Engineer ciwan@sanbruno.ca.gov Ph. (650) 616-7065 All questions must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August 29, 2022. Questions will be responded to in writing. Written summaries of all questions and answers will be distributed to each consultant. Anonymity of the source of specific written questions will be maintained in the written responses. A clarification addendum will be issued, if necessary. October 11, 2022 Award Consultant Contract The City of San Bruno reserves the right to reject any or all responses received as a result of this solicitation; to extend the submission due date for; to modify, amend, reissue or rewrite this document; and to procure any or all services by other means. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
