Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Renovations and Additions to Sentara Park Lacrosse and Soccer Facility, James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA The Work includes two single detached one-story additions of approximately 2,100 and 2,700 SF, to the existing JMU Athletics stadium at Sentara Park. Sports include, Womens Lacrosse, Track and Field and Mens and Womens Soccer. Shall provide home and visitor lockers, showers, toilets, concession and storage space. Site work includes selective demolition and underground utilities in order to connect each addition to the existing stadium and site utilities. Work inside the existing stadium is limited to connections to the existing fire alarm, telecom and main electrical room. The exterior materials typically match the existing stadium and adjacent athletic buildings at Sentara Park. Exterior walls are load bearing cmu with split face veneer and accent ground face cmu bands and cast stone accents. Standing seam gabled metal roof with exposed truss at each entrance. Interior partitions are gypsum board. With exception of the hood, food service equipment shall be provided under separate contractor by Owner and Aramark. The existing mobile concession and athletic storage shall be removed and relocated separately by Owner prior to start of the Work. Existing building and site shall be partially occupied. Existing secondary underground duct bank power for the existing building, shall not be interrupted until the permanent duct bank bypass has been completed. Minimize temporary interruption of electrical services to existing sports lighting poles and existing electronic marquee sign that occur below and near the building and site demolition work.
