This Request for Supplier Qualifications ("RFSQ") is an invitation by the Town of Oakville (the "Town") to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide Contractors for the construction of the North Park Sports Park Phase 2 and Wallace Park Redevelopment projects as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the "Deliverables"). The intent of this Request for Supplier Qualifications is to establish a prequalified list of contractors to qualify for eligibility to construct the North Park Sports Park Phase 2 and Wallace Park Redevelopment projects. Only those contractors that successfully prequalify will be permitted to submit responses to the subsequent Requests for Tenders. However, each construction tender is to be awarded to two separate contractors. North Park Sports Park Phase 2: Construction of North Park Sports Park (Phase 1) began with the official ground breaking ceremony in July 2008, the existing park feature: (a) an artificial turf soccer field; (b) a natural turf soccer field; (c) a storm water management pond; (d) multi-use pathways; (e) parking; and (f) a temporary branch library portable (re-location not in this contract). The North Park Sports Park is a community park situated in Oakville's growth area know as North Oakville. The North Park property is 20.1 hectares and located north of Dundas at 3070 Neyagawa Boulevard. North Park Sports Park is planned as a multi-phase, multi-year project. With Phase 1 already complete the town is looking to retain a qualified and experienced contracting team to construct Phase 2 and Phase 3, pending capital budget approval. It is intended that proponents deemed qualified through this RSFQ will be allowed to bid on Phase 2 and Phase 3 of this project. TIMELINE: The Wallace Park Redevelopment project is currently out for tender to prequalified firms. Details are followed on a separate report. This project now follows the North Park Sports Park Phase 2 only. Tender timelines are pending capital budget funding; timelines are currently unknown.
