As of 1/17/2022 this project has not yet been awarded. The City of East Providence requests proposals from professional fire alarm and/or sprinkler design and installation firms with significant experience in the development and design of fire alarm systems and/or sprinkler systems for commercial and/or municipal buildings. The City of East Providence Weaver Library is located at 41 Grove Avenue, East Providence, RI. The building is currently served by a pre-action fire sprinkler system that is approximately 39 years old. The piping system has developed numerous leaks and has exceeded its useful life. It is the intent of the City of East Providence to have a fully functional and code compliant fire alarm and sprinkler system designed and installed for the Weaver Library in accordance with all applicable State and Local Codes and Standards. Any questions after the pre-bid walk through must be submitted in writing to Ed Catelli ecatelli@eastprovidenceri.gov by WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22. 2021 at 4pm. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest. The Contract shall be awarded to responsive and responsible bidder whose bid in either the lowest price, or lowest evaluated or responsive bid price. The selected firm will be required to provide the minimum categories and amounts of insurance required for this project including: Commercial General Liability, Products/Completed Operations, Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability including explosion, collapse and underground coverage, and personal& advertising injury - $1,000,000 General Aggregate. Auto Liability -$1,000,000 Bodily Injury & Property Damage and Workers Compensation - Statutory amounts. The City of East Providence shall be names as an additional insured.
