Site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Various ongoing improvements have been identified for City Hall. This improvements project for City Hall currently involves the following: Replacement of ductwork: The building’s HVAC duct system has inadequacies and leaks in various locations and does not allow for any type of zone control. This work will involve the replacement of this ductwork. Fire Alarm Panel Replacement: The existing panel is obsolete and in need of replacement. The panel’s alarm system malfunctions at various times and often requires resetting. HVAC Replacement: City Hall has various HVAC units that are nearing the end of their useful service life expectancies and replacements are recommended. Staff parking lot: The parking lot is partially located over the portion of the building extension for the Council Chambers. The lot has various types and sizes of cracks. The City proposes repairing, resurfacing, and restriping the lot. As of July 7, 2023, the project is in the FY2024 CIP plan. Construction is planned for FY2024-2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
