Renovation of an educational facility in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work under this section includes all labor, material, equipment and related services necessary to provide firestop systems consisting of a material, or combination of materials installed to retain the integrity of fire or smoke rated construction in accordance to the Building Code. The fire stopping systems shall maintain an effective barrier against the spread of flame, smoke, and/or hot gases through penetrations, blank openings and construction joints in fire or smoke rated construction, or at perimeter fire containment in or adjacent to fire-rated barriers. The work is located in Albertson Hall in the lower level electrical room and outside the building adjacent to the electrical room. Work can begin after the completion of the spring semester on May 23, 2020. All work shall be complete prior to the beginning of the fall semester on August 24, 2020. In general the work consists of: Electrical work that replaces an existing failed emergency power generator at Albertson Hall. Site work includes excavation and backfill for new underground conduits and providing a new concrete pad for the new generator. Project has been rescheduled to April 23, 2020. This project is on hold due to the public health crisis. A new timeline has not been established.
