THIS PROJECT IS ON HOLD due to COVID 19 concerns. Technical questions concerning the Bidding Documents should be submitted in writing by March 20, 2020 to negley4@marshall.edu. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of each addendum in the space provided on the Form of Proposal or their Bid may be rejected. A. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Work consists of providing a turnkey project including new HVAC equipment to serve the facility, provisions for electrical power to serve the equipment, and selective general construction work including, but not limited to, structural support of new equipment and roof work. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: a. Packaged VAV Air-Handling Unit; b. Energy Recovery Unit; c. Roof Mounted Condensing Unit; d. HVAC Ductwork; e. Electric work associated with serving the new HVAC system equipment; f. Fire alarm modifications/additions to the existing Fire Alarm system related to HVAC renovations; g. Fire Alarm systems, all locations, must remain operational throughout the construction phases during occupied periods; h. Relocate existing Fire Protection/Sprinkler systems as required for installation ofthe new Work; i. Sprinkler systems must remain operational during occupied times (all locations); j. Related cutting, patching, lintels, painting, demolition and other general construction work necessary to support HVAC and other renovations; k. Replacement of selected roof areas; l. Selective Demolition Work; m. Testing, Adjusting and Balancing contractor will be hired by the Mechanical Contractor; n. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. *This project is on hold due to the public health crisis. A new timeline has not been established.
