Site work for a water / sewer project in Northampton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, tools, oversight, and permits required to replace manhole frames and covers and line approximately 33 manholes in the Willow Green development in Allen Township, Northampton County. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing Wage Rates shall apply. Questions may be submitted electronically on or before 2:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2020. Responses will be provided electronically to all registered parties. Contractor and Owner recognize that time is of the essence as stated in Paragraph 4.01 and that Owner will suffer financial and other losses if the Work is not completed and Milestones not achieved within the times specified in Paragraph 4.02 plus any extensions thereof allowed in accordance with the Contract. The parties also recognize the delays, expenses, and difficulties involved in proving in a legal or arbitration proceeding the actual loss suffered by the Owner if the Work is not completed on time. Allen Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions or to waive any informalities in the bidding and to withhold the award for a period of sixty days.
