Addendum 1 is available on the website The Board of Education of Indian Prairie School District 204, DuPage County, Aurora, Illinois, hereinafter known as Owner, is seeking bids for installation of a new roof top air handling unit at nineteen elementary schools located in Aurora, Bolingbrook and Naperville, Illinois. The Project consists of installing a new roof top unit at each school, along with any and all associated piping, ventilation, electrical and temperature control work. After the new system is up and running, the contractor will also be required to demo two existing above ceiling air handling units at each school, along with any and all associated piping, ventilation, electrical and temperature control work. Apparent low bidders must be available for a scope review meeting either in person or via telephone between 11:30 – 2:00 pm on Wednesday November 3, 2021. Two (2) copies of your bid proposal must be submitted on the “Bid Form” provided, with two (2) copies of all form attachments. Bid security, in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid shall be submitted with the bid. A Certificate of Insurance, Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, will be required from the successful bidder. The Board of Education of Indian Prairie School District 204 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Owner. All Bidders must comply with Illinois Compiled Statutes, 820 ILCS 130/ (Prevailing Wage Act), requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates change, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount. The proposed contract is subject to the requirements of the Equal Employment Practices Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Act (HRA) Illinois Revised Statues, Ch. 68, Par. 1-101, et. seg.” (Including the requirement that every party to a public contract shall have adopted written sexual harassment policies, P.A. 87-1257).
