The proposed project to be completed is a FIND and FIX project to locate and remove inflow and infiltration (I&I) sources from the gravity sewer collection system in the Town of Walstonburg, NC. The BIDDER (Contractor) will complete an analysis using CCTV (see Appendix 6) to identify I&I sources within the gravity sewer system. As show in Appendix 3, the Town has been broken into four areas of prioritization of need based upon observations of Town Staff and the Engineer. The CCTV will be completed on the entirety of the gravity system within Priority Areas 1 and 2, while only portions of Priority 3 and 4 will be investigated. Upon completion of the study, the issues will be scored by the Engineer. This prioritized list of repairs and rehabilitation will be used to select project activities to be completed based on the available project funding. Other un-completed identified needs will be organized for use in a Capital Improvement Plan by the Town to be completed in future years as funding becomes available. The project locations may include any location within the gravity sewer collection system for the Town as shown on Figure 2 in Appendix 2. Construction drawings for repair areas will be issued following Engineers and Owners review. Minimal disturbance of land is expected for the project due to the type of work to be completed and be isolated to individual repair locations and due to the project actions being directed to existing gravity sewer within existing roadways and ROWs.
