Large, complex culvert and creek construction projects for which successful Respondents may be prequalified include the Kilmer Creek Relocation, Gallant Storm Sewer Upgrade, Thain Creek Culvert Replacement, and other similar projects which may be tendered by the District within the prequalification period, and which must be completed within restricted timelines in constrained urban environments. The anticipated scope of work for this category of project may include, but is not necessarily limited to: Construction of new reaches of creek: Bypassing and environmental isolation of existing creek(s) may be required; Construction of culverts, complete with headwalls, and debris barriers, which may include: Box culverts; Corrugated steel pipe arch culverts on concrete footing; Circular pipe culverts; Traffic, pedestrian, parking, and cycling management that may include multiple traffic stages; Tie-in of existing creek infrastructure to new creek infrastructure, bank reconstruction within wetted perimeter of creeks within provincially mandated instream work windows; Road construction, including removal of existing roadway components, grading, and supply and installation of pavement structures, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and pavement markings; Utilities construction, which may include water main, storm main, sanitary sewer replacement, relocation, or rehabilitation, service connections and related civil works: Utility construction may include bridge crossings; Maintaining existing utilities in service during construction, such as by suspending or otherwise protecting existing utilities; Supply and installation of street lighting on the road and associated conduit; Private property regrading and restoration including fencing, landscaping, driveway reconstruction; and Landscaping, and riparian planting, including supply and planting of trees and shrubs. *This project timeline has been extended due to the public health crisis.
