Site work for a bridge / tunnel in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

In response to the ongoing development of theLynn Creek Town Centre, the Ownerwishes to install a new steel tied arch bridge over Lynn Creek, install asphalton existingtrailsin Bridgman Park, and construct anew multi-usepathconnection to the bridge at the end of Hunter Street.The scope of work generally consists of the construction of an approximate 52meter span steel tied arch bridge, completewith rapid impact compaction, steel pipe piles, reinforced concrete bridge abutments, steel hangars, concrete decking, and other bridge finishes. Please note that the site does pose geometric constraints from nearby development around Hunter Street and Seylynn Park, as well as the presence of mature trees on either side of the creek. Construction of works will involve the removal of approximately 25 trees,and adequate site clearing, while trying to minimize environmental impact. Furthermore,construction of amulti-use pathis required on both ends of the bridge approaches complete with adequate lighting,utility tie-ins,signage, landscaping, and park furnishings.Some minor rip rap repair may be required. The scope of the works generally involves the followingmajor work items(list not comprehensive): .1Mobilize and set up job. .2Trafficmanagement throughout the project including working with nearby development and utility projects to maintain their access to their sites .3Complete and regularly update the Construction Scheduleand required permits and plans. .4Complete utility locates prior to construction. .5Complete excavation, trenching,removal and disposal of unsuitable materials, and supply and place imported materials. .6Manage water during the Workand prevention of discharge to water courses and bodies. .7Supply materials for and construct pile foundations, abutments, wingwalls. .8Supply materials for and construct steel pedestrian bridge. .9Supply materials for and construct multi-use asphalt path. .10Supply and install materials for and construct bioswale/detention pond and rip rap repairs on Lynn Creek .11Restore all pavements and other surfacesaccording to the drawings. .12Complete landscaping works c/w electrical works, streetlight installations, and bridge lighting .13Complete sidewalk construction complete with tree cellsand new street lights. Extents as shown on drawings or as needed to restorework areas. .14Comply with requirements for environmental procedures. .15Maintain up-to-date documents on site during construction, and provide complete record drawing markups for all disciplines monthly for each Progress payment, and at completion. .16Final cleanup and demobilization.
