The work is known officially as The City of Brookfield 2020 Road Resurfacing Project No. R-20-01 and shall consist of furnishing and applying a plant mixed bituminous pavement on specified City streets in the City of Brookfield for the calendar year 2020 in accordance with the requirements of the Board of Public Works. Major Items of Work - Approximate Quantities 14,000 Ton - Bituminous Concrete Pavement 57,000 S.Y. - Milling 47,000 S.Y. - Pulverizing & Shaping The bidder is advised Municipal Street Improvement Program (MSIP) funds will be used for portions of this contract. PROPOSALS A bidder's qualification statement must be delivered to the City of Brookfield at least five (5) days before the bid opening date. The proposal form furnished by the City shall be properly executed by the bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the City of Brookfield equal to five percent (5%) of the largest possible total bid or bids, including consideration of alternates. The successful bidder's failure to execute the contract and furnish the performance bond within ten (10) days after the award shall cause the Check or Bid Bond to be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages (Section 62.15(3), Wisconsin Statutes). The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any minor informality or irregularity in bids received. All proposals shall remain firm and may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening date.
