Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ankeny, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The 2020 PCC Street Patching Program project includes the full depth removal and replacement of PCC street pavement at the SE Trilein Drive and SE 10th Street intersection and along SW Country Club Lane south of West 1st Street. The SE Trilein Drive and SE 10th Street location will require a full closure of the intersection during construction utilizing a signed detour route. The SW Country Club Lane location will require staggered patching operations with one lane open to both directions of traffic at all times. The construction improvements include the removal and replacement of approximately 900 SY of 8" PCC pavement with dowel assemblies, 2,600 SY of 7" PCC pavement, 700 CY of Class 10 excavation, 4,050 SY of geogrid, 4,050 SY of 6" thick modified subbase, 1,100 LF of 6" diameter subdrain, 100 SY of 6" PCC sidewalk, and 50 SY of 4" PCC sidewalk. Other associated improvements include temporary traffic control, portable dynamic message signs, cast-in-place intakes, subdrain cleanouts, minor adjustments to intakes, temporary seeding and mulching, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project. All patching locations shall be paved using a C-SUD mix design, and a truss screed shall be used on all patches greater than three panels in length. No exceptions will be allowed. The Contractor shall fully complete the work on SW Country Club Lane no later than September 12, 2020. Fully complete shall be defined as all utility, grading, and pavement construction completed, with the new street patches and driveways fully open to traffic, and all improvements ready for final acceptance. Should the Contractor fail to fully complete the work on SW Country Club Lane in this timeframe, liquidated damages of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated Contract term(s). The Contractor shall fully complete the work on SE Trilein Drive and SE 10th Street within thirty (30) working days from the commencement of construction on this portion of the work. The SE Trilein Drive and SE 10th Street work shall begin no earlier than June 1, 2020 and no later than June 15, 2020. Fully complete shall be defined as all utility, grading, and pavement construction completed, with the new street patches and sidewalks fully open to traffic, and all improvements ready for final acceptance. Should the Contractor fail to fully complete the work on SE Trilein Drive and SE 10th Street in this timeframe, liquidated damages of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated Contract term(s).
