Carson City is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the Saliman Road Preservation Project. The project includes but is not limited to electrical conduit trenching and installation, installation of a type 14 street light, RRFB installation, pedestrian curb ramp installation, asphalt patching, applying a type 3 Rapid Setting Slurry Seal (including removal of existing pavement markings prior to applying Rapid Setting Slurry Seal) and re-striping on Saliman Road between Long Street and Fairview Drive and on Russell Way between Highway 50 and Northridge Drive. The project will also include a 2" mill and overlay of a settled water main trench on Saliman Road between Robinson Street and Sealy Loop. Sealed bids must be submitted in accordance with the bid documents, drawings and plans, specifications and special conditions related hereto. All contractors must comply with NRS 338.01165 for this project, unless a modification, waiver, or exemption applies. Carson City has determined that the responsive bidder must possess a minimum of a Class A with appropriate sub-classifications or subcontractors. All Contractors license shall be in good standing and issued by the Nevada State Contractor's Board at the time of the bid. Questions regarding this bid must be received a minimum of four (4) working days prior to bid opening. NOTICE OF PROTEST OF AWARD OF CONTRACT must be submitted in writing to Carson City Purchasing and Contract within five (5) working days after the City makes a recommendation to award the contract. BID AWARD will be made by the Carson City Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) and is tentatively scheduled for May 13, 2020. The RTC meeting will be held in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, 851 East William Street, Carson City, Nevada 89701 beginning at 4:30 p.m. PRICES must be quoted FOB Carson City, Nevada and are valid for sixty (60) calendar days after the BID OPENING.
