Carson City is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the Carson City Landfill Truck Scales. The project includes design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of 3 truck scales as described in the specifications of this bid document. The Landfill Truck Scales project includes design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of 3 truck scales as described in the technical specifications section of this bid document. Note that timing of the installation of the truck scales is contingent on the construction and completion of new landfill entry facility. Construction of the entry facility is planned to begin on February 1 st . The truck scale contractor shall coordinate with the City and entry facility contractor to deliver and install the scales once the foundation, ramps, and other preparation work for the truck scales is complete. Plans are provided for the new entry facility as reference; however, this scope of work is only for the truck scales portion of the work. The Contractor will be required to review and provide feedback on the foundation and ramps supporting the truck scales to ensure that the scales properly fit and function in the space provided by the contractor completing the new landfill entrance facility. The work includes supplying and installing a complete integrated truck scale system. The system includes 3 truck scales (two inbound, one outbound) with equipment as outlined in this specification. The scales are to be installed at the Carson City Landfill located at 4000 Flint Drive.
