The project includes various repairs and rehabilitation of the Arthur Street Water Treatment Facility. Major work includes replacing electrical equipment and wiring, painting, window replacement, and replacing process and mechanical equipment. Minimum General Contractor Qualifications: The Bidder shall have experience of successfully completing work on at least three (3) water treatment plant facilities. Of these, the Bidder must have experience of successfully completing work on at least two (2) of these projects in the last 7 years as a General Contractor involving gravity or pressure filters or a lime softening water treatment plant, where the capacity of the facility was equal to or greater than one million gallons per day, and where the work experience includes: earthwork, demolition, concrete, piping, process equipment, welding, coating applications, mechanical HVAC systems, electrical, instrumentation, and control work. A Bidder's qualification statement must be delivered to City of Spring Lake Park either prior to or with the Bid. Bid security in the amount of 5% percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest Bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the opening of Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date and time set for the opening of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Spring Lake Park.
