Middle Fork Nooksack River Fish Passage Project (EN-0047) Post-Project River CHannel \Monitoring and Adaptive Management The City of Bellingham ("City") is seeking submittals (Invitation No. 32B-2020) from multidisciplinary teams consisting of surveyors, geomorphologists, scientists, engineers and biologists interested in providing professional engineering and technical services to the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department for the Post-Project River Channel Monitoring and Adaptive Management Program element of the Middle Fork Nooksack River Fish Passage Project (City Project Number EN-0047, MFNRFPP) The City invites all interested parties to respond to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) by submitting their Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) relating to this type of project. All prospective consultants are advised that federally funded projects will be held to federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements. Disadvantaged, minority and women-owned consultant firms are encouraged to respond. Upon consideration of the submittals, the City will negotiate final terms with the selected party. The Middle Fork Nooksack River Fish Passage Project (http://www.cob.org/middlefork) involves significant river channel restoration work for fish passage, and removal of the City's diversion dam. The project also includes reconfiguration of the water supply intake at the project site. This project was designed and permitted in 2018/2019, and construction was initiated in January 2020, with an approximate 18-month duration. In-water construction work, including initial field work associated with this RFQ, is expected to occur between June and September of 2020.
