Construction is complete 960 Zone North South Transmission Main: $26 million The North South Transmission Main is expected to be a new 30,000 foot, 36-inch diameter water main between the existing 48-inch transmission main running along Idlewild Road, north to the Hickory Grove Elevated Storage Tank along Plaza Road Extension. North Tryon Pressure Zone Boundary Change: $19.9 million The North Tryon Pressure Zone Boundary Change will modify the pressure zone boundaries such that the Hidden Valley Neighborhood is served through the 960 pressure zone rather than the 882 pressure zone (current designation). This project will include approximately 23,000 LF of new 8-inch, 16-inch, and 30-inch pipe, 20 new valves, and one emergency check valve connection to the 882 pressure zone. The new transmission main will extend from the end of the North South Transmission Main to connect to an existing main on Old Concord Road. This project needs to be completed concurrently with the 960 Zone North South Transmission Main project. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
