Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; and transportation facility.

This project consists of the relocation of Yorkmont Road between West Boulevard and Hangar Road, including construction of a new taxiway bridge and associated vehicle service road bridge. The Yorkmont Road relocation will be approximately 2,200 feet and the total area of new bridge deck surface area includes approximately 23,103 square feet for a new taxiway bridge and 3,316 SF for a new vehicular bridge. Specifically, work includes existing roadway and sidewalk demolition, site grading and erosion control measures, utility relocation and installation, and new roadway paving including curb and gutter, sidewalks and site landscaping. New bridge construction includes MSE retaining wall construction, H-pile driving, cast-in-place concrete construction, and erecting of structural steel. Basic elements of future airfield paving are included in the project, as well as decorative signage and lighting on the bridges. This site work and specifically the new bridges are required for a future South Crossfield Taxiway, to be constructed under a separate contract.
