The improvement consists of: Rerouting of Squalicum Creek including excavation of new channel, large woody debris, partial filling of Bug Lake, a new culvert under Squalicum Parkway, dewatering, topsoil and restoration. There is an in-water work fish window from July 15, 2020 to September 30, 2020 to complete all in-water portions of the work. Price Range: $2,000,000 - $2,500,000 All proposals must be upon the Bid Proposal form provided by the City of Bellingham and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, cash, money order or bid bond payable to the Finance Director in an amount equal to or exceeding five percent (5%) of the total bid. No other form of bid security is acceptable. The right is reserved to postpone making the award for a reasonable length of time, to reject any and all bids, or to waive irregularities not affecting substantial rights. It is anticipated that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids.
